NEWINGTON, Conn.-State Transportation Commissioner Ralph J. Carpenter announced today that a Roadway Reconstruction project will be performed on Route 101, in Killingly.  This project is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, June 4, 2007 and continue through Wednesday, October 31, 2007.

This project will be performed on Route 101 between Valley Road (West) and High Street (East).                               

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Monday - Friday).  Intermittent night and/or Saturday work may be required.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
