NEWINGTON, Conn.- State Transportation Commissioner Ralph J. Carpenter announced today that a Milling and Resurfacing project will be performed on Route 67, from Route 172 to Route 6, in Southbury.  This project is scheduled to begin on or about Friday, September 28, 2007 and continue through Thursday, October 18, 2007. 

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Mondays – Fridays).  No work is scheduled for the weekends.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
