NEWINGTON, Conn. - State Transportation Commissioner Ralph J. Carpenter announced today that a Milling and Resurfacing project will be performed on Route 34, just west of Route 121, in Orange.  This project is scheduled to begin on or about Tuesday, November 13, 2007 and continue through Wednesday, November 14, 2007. 

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is Milling: 8:00 p.m. to 3:00 a.m. (Tuesday evening), Paving: 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Wednesday afternoon).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
