NEWINGTON, Conn. - State Transportation Commissioner Ralph J. Carpenter announced today that Milling and Resurfacing project will be performed on Route 194, from Hillsdale Road to Route 74, in South Windsor.  This project is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, October 1, 2007 and continue through Friday, October 12, 2007.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for the project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Mondays – Fridays).  No work is scheduled for the weekends.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
