NEWINGTON, Conn. - State Transportation Commissioner Ralph J. Carpenter announced today that a Guide Rail Installation project will be performed on Route 12, from Old Route 12 to Route 93, in Thompson.  This project is scheduled to begin on or about Monday, December 17, 2007 and continue through Monday, December 21, 2007.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.  The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Monday – Friday). No work will be performed on the Saturday or Sunday. 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions.  Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving through the work area.
