Wrong Way Driver Preventative Maintenance and Recertification in Danbury

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that wrong way driver preventative maintenance and recertification will be performed on Route 7 southbound at Exit 8 in Danbury. This project is scheduled to occur on Thursday, March 27, 2025. The project 0170-3638 consists of wrong way driver preventative maintenance and recertification on Route 7 southbound at Exit 8 in Danbury.

This project is being performed by State Forces, TAPCO, Fiber Optics Plus and Electrical Representatives.

 

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

Route 7 southbound at Exit 8 in Danbury will be closed to traffic on Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Traffic will be detoured Backus Avenue to Sugar Hollow Road, left onto Wooster Heights Road, left onto the Exit 7 northbound on-ramp.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
