The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that wrong way driver preventative maintenance and recertification will be performed on Route 8 in Thomaston, Derby, Naugatuck, Torrington and Beacon Falls. This project is scheduled to start on Tuesday, March 24, 2025. The project 0170-3638 consists of wrong way driver preventative maintenance and recertification on Route 8.
This project is being performed by State Forces, TAPCO, Fiber Optics Plus and Electrical Representatives.

Take a left onto Route 4 (East Elm Street). Turn left onto the Route 8 northbound ramp. Take Exit 51 off-ramp, left onto Kennedy Drive (Kennedy Dr. runs into State Road 800, Winsted Road).

Take a left at the bottom of the ramp. Make a left onto Route 8 northbound then get off Exit 21 off-ramp. Take a right at the bottom of the ramp onto Route 42.
