Wrong Way Driver Detection Installation on Route 6 Westbound in Danbury

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing a wrong way driver detection installation will be performed on Route 6 westbound in Danbury (at the I-84 Exit 8 westbound ramp). This project is scheduled to occur on Tuesday, April 15, 2025. The project 0170-3638 consists of installation of the wrong way driver system on Route 6 westbound in Danbury (at the I-84 Exit 8 westbound ramp).

This project is being performed by State Forces.

 

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

Route 6 westbound in Danbury (at the I-84 Exit 8 Westbound Ramp) will be closed on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Traffic will be detoured as follows:  Take a right onto Stony Hill Road; left onto Greys Bridge; left onto Federal Road; onto I-84. Trucks will be detoured Route 6 to Route 25 onto I-84 at Exit 9.                                                                       

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
