Shoulder Closure on I95 Northbound in West Haven

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that pavement coring will be performed on I-95 in West Haven. This project is scheduled to occur on Thursday, February 6 at 9:00 p.m. and be completed on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 6:00 a.m. Project 0156-0181 consists of replacing Bridge No. 00161 carrying I-95 over First Avenue and Bridge 00162 carrying I-95 over Metro North in West Haven.

CTDOT Project No. 0156-0181 was awarded to The Middlesex Corporation with H&H, LLC, at a cost of $96,688,000 on August 25, 2023, and is scheduled to be completed in June 2027. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 3 in New Haven.

CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

There will be a shoulder closure on I-95 northbound in West Haven between Exit 43 and 44 from Thursday, February 6 to Friday, February 7, 2025, from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Traffic control sign patterns and State Troopers will guide motorists through the work zone.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
