The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a roadway milling project will be performed on Route 6 in Killingly. This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, April 7 and be completed on Friday, April 18, 2025. Project No.DOT01720536CN “D” consists of milling a 2.85-mile segment of Route 6 in Killingly from the Snake Meadow Brook overpass to the Rhode Island State Line. This project is scheduled to begin milling by Rafferty Fine Grading on Monday, April 7 to Friday, April 18, 2025.
This project is included in CTDOT’s 2025 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect alternating lane closures on Route 6 in Killingly from Snake Meadow Brook overpass to the Rhode Island State Line. Crash attenuator vehicles, traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
