This project is scheduled to begin work by FSM Services INC. on Monday, November 17 to Wednesday, November 26, 2025.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 71 (Martin Luther King Drive) southbound in New Britain between North Street and Winter Street approximately 100 feet from the intersection of North Street on Route 71.
The two northbound lanes will be shared by both north and southbound traffic and the slip turn on North Street at the intersection with Route 71 (Martin Luther King Drive) will be temporarily closed. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. A detour will be set in place, and the road will be open for nighttime hours.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
