The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Service Route 615 (Old Hartford Road) in Colchester. This project is scheduled to occur on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, and be completed on Monday, June 2, 2025.
Project No. DOT01720536CN “F” consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.32-mile segment of Service
Route 615 from the access to Route 2 westbound to the end of Service Route 615 in Colchester. The milling segment of the project by Rafferty Fine Grading Inc. is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 to Thursday, May 22, 2025. The resurfacing segment of this project by American Industries Inc. is anticipated to begin on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 to Monday, June 2, 2025.
This project is included in CTDOT’s 2025 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Service Route 615 from the access to Route 2 westbound to the end of Service Route 615 in Colchester. Traffic control personnel, crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
