The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that milling and resurfacing will be performed on Route 181 (River Road) in Barkhamsted. This project is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, May 7 and be completed on Friday, May 16, 2025.
This project is being performed by Galasso Materials and Black and Boucher.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect delays and one lane alternating Traffic on Route 181 (River Road) from Route 44 to Route 318 in Barkhamsted. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
