The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 124 in New Canaan. This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, August 11 and be completed on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. The project DOT01730543CN consists of milling and resurfacing a 2.15-mile segment of Route 124 in New Canaan from the Lambert Road connector to 0.05 miles south of Lukes Wood Road. This project is scheduled to begin milling by A & J Construction on Monday, August 11 to Friday August 15, 2025. The resurfacing segment of this project by O & G is anticipated to begin on Monday, August 18 to Tuesday, August 26, 2025.
This project is included in CTDOT’s 2025 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures of Route 124 from the Lambert Road connector to 0.05 miles south of Lukes Wood Road in New Canaan. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
