The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing various lane closures of Route 1 in Westport which started Monday, September 8 and is expected to finish by Friday September 12, 2025. The lane closures are necessary to safely final pave the roadway.
The work is being performed by A and J Construction and Guerrera Construction Company.

Motorists can expect various lane closures of Route 1 east and westbound from the Fairfield Town line to just past the Stop and Shop Supermarket starting Monday, September 8, to Friday September 12, from 8:00 pm to 6:00 am each day. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
