The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that guide rail upgrades will be performed on Route 229 north and southbound in Southington and Bristol from Exit 31 off and on-ramp to Dell Manor Drive. This project is scheduled to start on Friday, February 14, 2025. No work will be performed around any scheduled holidays. The project DOT01710507CN consists of Guide Rail Upgrades.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
There will be right lane and shoulder closures on Route 229 north and southbound from Exit 31 off and on-ramp to Dell Manor Drive in Southington and Bristol starting on Friday, February 14 to Friday, March 14, 2025, during the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Traffic control signing patterns and trailer mounted attenuators will guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area. No work will be performed around any scheduled holidays.
