The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) will perform bridge repair work on I-84 eastbound between Exits 35 and 36 in New Britain to ensure the bridge remains in good condition. Work will commence on the night of Friday, January 24 and is expected to be completed by the morning of Saturday, January 25, 2025.
This project is being performed by Hartford Bridge Maintenance.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
I-84 eastbound between ramps 35 and 36 in New Britain, including the left and center lanes over Route 72, will be closed starting at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 24, 2025. The lanes will reopen by 5:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 25, 2025. Traffic control measures and detour signage will guide motorists through the work zone.
