Bridge Repair on West Street over I91 at Exit 23 in Rocky Hill

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that bridge repairs will be performed on West Street over I-91 at Exit 23 in Rocky Hill. This project is scheduled to occur on Sunday, March 30 and be completed by Friday, April 18, 2025. The project 0171-0484 consists of bridge joint removal and replacement.

CTDOT Project No. 0171-0484 was awarded to McNamee Construction Co, Inc. at a cost of $19,674,000 on December 22, 2022, and is scheduled to be completed by November 14, 2025. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 1 in Rocky Hill

 

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

There will be intermittent lane closures utilizing temporary traffic control on West Street and the I-91 northbound off-ramp at Exit 23 in Rocky Hill. This will occur from Sunday, March 30 between 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. through Friday, April 18, 2025. Traffic control signing patterns with uniformed police officers will guide motorists through the work zone.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
