Wrong Way Detection Installations on I-84 in West and East Hartford
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that wrong way detection installations will be performed on I-84 in West and East Hartford on Thursday, April 25, 2024.
The projects will be at the following:
- I-84 westbound at Exit 42 in West Hartford
- I-84 east & westbound Exit 56 off-ramps in East Hartford
This work is performed by the CTDOT Electrical Sign Installation, District 1 and TAPCO representatives.
LANE CLOSURE INFO/DETOUR INFO
I-84 Westbound at Exit 42 in West Hartford
Motorists can expect exit ramp closures on I-84 westbound Exit 42 off-ramp in West Hartford. Traffic will be detoured to exit 43 (Park Road West Hartford) and take a right off the ramp, and another right onto Trout Brook. The regular work schedule for this project is from April 25 to 26, 2024, 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
I-84 East & Westbound Exit 56 Off-Ramps in East Hartford
Motorists can expect exit ramp closures on I-84 east and westbound exit 56 off-ramps in East Hartford. The regular work schedule for this project is from April 25 to 26, 2024, 7:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
