Wrong Way Detection Installation: I-91 Southbound Exit 24 in Rocky Hill

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a wrong way detection installation will be performed on I-91 southbound in Rocky Hill. This project is to be begin Wednesday, March 27, 2024.

This work is performed by CTDOT Electrical Sign Installation, District 1 and TAPCO representatives.

LANE CLOSURE INFO/DETOUR INFO

Motorists can expect exit ramp closures on I-91 southbound exit 24 in Rocky Hill.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists around the work zone. Regular work schedule for this project is from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Wednesday. Traffic will be detoured Exit 23 (West Street), turn left off-ramp onto West Street, turn right onto I-91 northbound on-ramp and proceed to exit 24.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
