Wrong Way Detection Installation: Exit 14 Southbound Off-Ramp from I-395 in Norwich
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a wrong-way detection system installation will be performed at the Exit 14 southbound off-ramp from I-395 in Norwich. The project work is scheduled for Thursday evening, April 11 to Friday morning, April 12, 2024.
RAMP DETOUR INFO:
Motorists can expect a ramp closure to occur at the Exit 14 southbound off-ramp from I-395 in Norwich. A detour will be in place at this location. Traffic will be detoured from I-395 southbound to Exit 13 to Route 2 at Exit 28 southbound to Exit 14 northbound. Variable message boards will be set up approximately one (1) week prior to the work beginning. Crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The nighttime work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
