Wrong Way Detection Corrective Measures on Route 8 North in Waterbury at Exit 35
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that corrective measures of the wrong way detection system will take place on Route 8 north in Waterbury at Exit 35 starting Thursday, May 9, 2024.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Exit 35 of Route 8 north in Waterbury. The detour for ramp closure will be as follows: continuing on Route 8 northbound to Exit 36, left onto Huntington Avenue, then left onto Aurora Street to the intersection of Route 73 (Exit 35 off-ramp).
Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Monday through Friday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
