The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDO) is announcing a temporary nighttime closure of the Route 8 northbound at Exit 1 on-ramp in Bridgeport on Thursday, October 3, 2024. This project is to continue with the guiderail and attenuator installation on a 3.56-mile segment of Route 8 northbound and southbound in Bridgeport.
The work is being performed by Total Fence.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect a ramp closure of Route 8 northbound at Exit 1 (old exit 2) on-ramp in Bridgeport on Thursday, October 3, 2024 (Rain date Monday October 7, 2024). The detour for the ramp closure will be as follows: (Old Exit 2) is Exit 1 on-ramp detour to Fairfield Ave to Main Street. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
