The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a road repair project will be performed on I-84 in Southbury. This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, November 4 and be completed by July 2025. The project 0170-3758E consists of lane shifts, constructing access roads and culvert repairs.
CTDOT Project No. 0170-3758E was awarded to Blakeslee, Arapaia and Chapman on September 19, 2024, and is scheduled to be completed July 2025. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 4 in Thomaston.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
There will be a lane shift on I-84 eastbound and nightly lane closures expected on both I-84 east and westbound from Monday, November 4 to July 2025 from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Traffic control signing patterns and State Police will guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
