The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that ramp closures for milling and paving work on Route 2 in Glastonbury and Marlborough will begin on Monday, April 15, 2024, at 9:00 p.m. Project 0053-0201 is an approximately 8-mile section of Route 2 from mile marker 6.27 to mile marker 14.63, passing through the towns of Glastonbury and Marlborough. The purpose of this project is to improve rideability on Route 2. The scope of work consists of milling and paving Route 2 and entrance and exit ramps.
CTDOT Project No. 0053-0201 was awarded to Tilcon Connecticut Inc. at a cost of $15.3 million on February 22, 2024, and is scheduled to be completed November 1, 2024. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 2 in Norwich.
LANE CLOSURE and DETOUR INFO
There will be periodic ramp closures on Route 2 in Glastonbury and Marlborough east and westbound from Exits 9 to 12. The ramp closures will take place from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. There will be detour signage installed to guide motorists when the ramp is closed.
