Pavement Preservation in Fairfield, Brookfield, Roxbury, Woodbury, and Southbury
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing the start of upgrading traffic signal detection systems and construction or reconstruction of concrete sidewalk ramps on Route 25 in Brookfield, Route 58 in Fairfield, and Route 67 in Roxbury, Woodbury and Southbury beginning on April 12, 2024. As part of the 2024 Pavement Preservation Program, the purpose of this project is to replace the existing wearing surface and extend the serviceability of the pavement structure. Traffic signal detection systems will be upgraded to video or radar detection at fourteen intersections and thirty-two concrete sidewalk ramps will be constructed or reconstructed to meet ADA requirements.
CTDOT Project No. 0170-3704 was awarded to Waters Construction Company of Bridgeport, CT on February 27, 2024, for $6,823,548.82 with an official start date of April 12, 2024. The project is expected to be completed in October 2024. This project is administered by the Office of Construction – District 3, New Haven.

Permitted closures during active work periods may restrict traffic to alternating one way traffic, with active traffic control, police, or flagging personnel. Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions and seek alternate routes.
