Roadway Milling Project on Bridge No. 01132 (Hammonasset River overpass) Route 80 in Killingworth
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a roadway milling project will be performed at Bridge No. 01132 Route 80 in Killingworth. The project consists of milling a 0.05-mile segment at Bridge No. 01132 (Hammonasset River overpass) on Route 80 in Killingworth. The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Thursday, March 28, 2024.
This project is included in CTDOT’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures to occur at Bridge No. 01132 (Hammonasset River overpass) on Route 80 from the Madison/Killingworth Town Line to the north end of Bridge No. 01132 (Hammonasset River overpass). Crash attenuator vehicles, traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
