Resurfacing Project on Service Road 533 from U.S. Route 6 & 44 to Goodwin Drive in Bolton

The Connecticut Department Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing a milling and resurfacing project on Service Road 533 from U.S. Route 6 & 44 to Goodwin Drive starting in Bolton on Monday, April 15, 2024. The project DOT01710506CN “K” consists of milling and resurfacing a 0.71-mile segment of Service Road 533 Bolton from U.S. Route 6 & 44 to Goodwin Drive.

This project is scheduled to begin milling by Rafferty Fine Grading, Inc. on Monday, April 15, 2024, to Tuesday, April 16, 2024. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to begin on Thursday, April 18, 2024, to Friday, April 19, 2024, by Galasso Materials.

This project is included in CTDOT’S 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

LANE CLOSURE INFO/DETOUR INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on, Service Road 533 from U.S. Route 6 & 44 to Goodwin Drive in Bolton.

Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The day work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. This project is scheduled to begin Monday April 15 through Friday April 19, 2024.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
