UPDATED: Milling and Resurfacing Project: State Route 424 (Russell Road) in Wethersfield

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on State Route 424 (Russell Road) in Wethersfield from Route 175 (Wells Road) to the end of State Route 424. The project DOT01710506CN consists of milling and resurfacing a 0.86-mile segment of State Route 424 (Russell Road) in Wethersfield from Route 175 (Wells Road) to the end of State Route 424. This project is scheduled to begin milling on Monday, April 29 to Wednesday, May 1, 2024. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to begin on Thursday, May 2 to Thursday, May 9, 2024. The work will be performed by Tilcon.

This project is included in the District 1, CTDOT’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on State Route 424 (Russell Road) in Wethersfield from Route 175 (Wells Road) to the end of State Route 424. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is Monday, April 29 to Monday, May 6, 2024, 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Monday-Friday.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
