Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 80 in Killingworth
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 80 in Killingworth starting Thursday, May 16, 2024. The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 2.74-mile segment of Route 80 in Killingworth. The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Thursday, May 16 through Wednesday, May 22, 2024. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, June 3 through Wednesday, June 12, 2024.
This project is included in the CTDOT’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 80 in Killingworth from the Madison/Killingworth town line to the traffic circle. Traffic control personnel, crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
