Milling and Resurfacing Project: Route 74 in Vernon
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on, Route 74 in Vernon from the Ellington/Vernon Town Line to Route 83. This project is scheduled to begin milling by Rafferty Fine Grading, Inc. on Sunday, April 21 to Monday, April 22, 2024. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to begin on Tuesday, April 23 to Thursday, April 25, 2024, by Tilcon Connecticut Inc.
This project is included in CTDOT’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on, Route 74 in Vernon, from the Ellington and Vernon Town Line to Route 83. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is Sunday, April 21 to Thursday, April 25, 2024, 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday – Thursday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
