The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 189 in Bloomfield from Mills Lane to Route 187 (Blue Hills Avenue) starting Monday, July 29, 2024. The project DOT01710506CN “D” consists of milling and resurfacing a 2.97-mile segment of Route 189 in Bloomfield from Mills Lane to Route 187 (Blue Hills Avenue).
This project is scheduled to begin milling by Rafferty Fine Grading, Inc. on Monday, July 29 to Friday, August 2, 2024. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to begin on Sunday, August 4 to Tuesday, August 13, 2024, by Galasso Materials.
This project is included in the CTDOT’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on, Route 189 in Bloomfield from Mills Lane to Route 187 (Blue Hills Avenue). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday – Thursday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area. No work will be performed around any scheduled holidays.
