Milling and Resurfacing Project on State Route 844 (Meriden Road) in Wolcott
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on State Route 844 (Meriden Road) in Wolcott from the Waterbury / Wolcott town line to Route 322 (East Street) starting Sunday, May 19, 2024. The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.03-mile segment of State Route 844 (Meriden Road) in Wolcott from the Waterbury / Wolcott town line to Route 322 (East Street). This project is scheduled to begin milling by Rafferty Fine Grading on Sunday, May 19, to Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to begin on Wednesday, May 22, to Friday, May 24, 2024, by O&G Industries.
This project is included in the District 1, Department of Transportation’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on State Route 844 (Meriden Road) in Wolcott from the Waterbury / Wolcott town line to Route 322 (East Street). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is Sunday, May 19 to Friday, May 24, 2024, 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday – Friday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
