The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 17 in Middletown. This project is scheduled to occur on Sunday, September 22 and be completed on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. The project DOT01710506CN consists of milling and resurfacing a 2.63-mile segment of Route 17 in Middletown from Route 155 (Randolph Road) to Loveland Street. This project is scheduled to begin milling by Rafferty Fine Grading on Sunday, September 22 to Thursday, September 26, 2024. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to begin on Tuesday, October 1 to Tuesday, October 8, 2024 by Tilcon.
This project is included in CTDOT’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 17 in Middletown from Route 155 (Randolph Road) to Loveland Street. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is Sunday, September 22, to Tuesday, October 8, 2024, 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday – Friday.
