The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Clara Drive in Stonington. This project is scheduled to occur on Wednesday evening, October 16 and be completed on Friday morning, October 18, 2024. Project No. DOT01720536CN consists of milling and resurfacing a 0.14-mile segment of Clara Drive in Stonington from Service Route 654 (Frontage Road) to Coogan Boulevard. This project is scheduled to begin milling and resurfacing by Waters Construction Co. Inc. on Wednesday evening, October 16 through Friday morning, October 18, 2024.
This project is included in CTDOT’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures of Clara Drive from Service Route 654 (Frontage Road) to Coogan Boulevard in Stonington. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The nighttime work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
