Milling and Paving Project: Interstate 91 North and Southbound in New Haven

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and paving resurfacing project will be performed on Interstate 91 north and southbound, alternating lanes, from exits 3 to 8. This project is scheduled to occur Sunday, April 7 through Tuesday, April 23, 2024. 

This project is part of CTDOT’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program and is being performed by Tilcon.  

LANE CLOSURE INFO 

Motorists can expect lane closures on Interstate 91 northbound from the Exit 2 on-ramp (Hamilton St.) to just past the exit 8 off-ramp (Middletown Ave., Route 80) and Interstate 91 southbound from before the exit 8 off-ramp (Middletown Ave., Route 80) to just past the Exit 3 off-ramp (Trumbull St.). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Sunday night through Friday morning.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
