UPDATED: Guiderail Upgrades on Route 9 North and Southbound in Cromwell
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that guiderail upgrades will be performed on Route 9 north and southbound in Cromwell on Monday, April 8, 2024.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect ramp closures on Route 9 northbound exit 27 West Street on-ramp Wednesday April 24, to Thursday, April 25, 2024, and Route 9 southbound Exit 27 West Street on ramp Monday April 29 to Tuesday, April 30, 2024, in Cromwell. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for installing this guiderail is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Monday through Thursday. Total Fence will begin this install on Monday, April 8 and work will be completed Thursday, July 11, 2024.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area. No work will be performed around any scheduled holidays.
