Guiderail Upgrade on Route 72 Eastbound in New Britain
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that guiderail upgrades will be performed on Route 72 eastbound in New Britain. The project consists of upgrading a guiderail on Route 72 eastbound in New Britain. This work is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 13, 2024.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 72 eastbound in New Britain between Exit 3 and Route 9. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for installing this guiderail by Atlas Fence is 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. This project Is scheduled to start Monday, May 13 with an anticipated completion date of Monday, July 1, 2024.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area. No work will be performed during any holidays.
