Forestry Mowing on Route 9 from Exits 23C-31 and I-91 Ramps Intersecting with Route 9 in Cromwell/Middletown

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing ramp and lane closure for forestry mowing that will begin April 21, 2024. To ensure the safety of the public, CTDOT is removing dead, diseased, and decaying trees. Additionally, trees and vegetation that have grown into the clear zone, which is the safe space along the side of the roadway, are also being removed. This work helps save lives in the event of a crash or vehicle leaving the roadway. This project is be performed by CTDOT contractor J&J Brothers LLC.

LANE CLOSURE INFO/DETOUR INFO

Motorist can except ramp and lane closures on Route 9 from Exits 23C-31 and I-91 ramps intersecting with Route 9 beginning April 21 and ending May 24, 2024. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists around the work zone. Woking hours will be from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday-Friday.
