The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a detour for the I-84 Exit 39A ramp will occur starting the week of February 25, 2024. This work is being done for haunch removal underneath the bridge.
CTDOT Project No. 0170-3557 was awarded to McNamee Construction at a cost of $9,128,103.00 on December 22, 2022, and is scheduled to be completed on November 8, 2024. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 4.

I-84 eastbound Exit 39A will be closed for 3 consecutive nights the week of February 25, 2024. Traffic will be detoured onto Exit 40, then back onto I-84 westbound, and finally onto I-84 westbound Exit 39A which brings you back to Route 9 southbound.
