Bridge Maintenance and Mechanical Repairs (Screw Jack) on Route 136 (Bridge Street) in Westport
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on Bridge 1349 (Saugatuck Swing bridge) Route 136 (Bridge Street) in Westport. This project is scheduled to occur during the night of Monday into Tuesday on March 18 - 19, 2024.
This work will be performed by Mohawk inc.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Eastbound traffic will be detoured Route 136 to Route 33 (Riverside Ave) to Route 1 (Post Road) to Route 136 (South Compo Road). Westbound traffic will be detoured Route 136 to Route 1 (Post Road) to Route 33 (Riverside Ave) to Route 136. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night schedule for this project is 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Monday into Tuesday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
