The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a bridge joint maintenance project will be performed on Interstate 84 east and westbound between Exits 46 and 50 in Hartford starting Sunday, April 7, 2024. The project consists of bridge joint removal on a 1.61-mile segment of Interstate 84 east and westbound between Exits 46 and 50 in Hartford.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
Motorists can expect lane and ramp closures on Interstate 84 east and westbound in Hartford, from Exit 46 to 50. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for the Bridge Joint Removal is 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday through Friday. Bridge Maintenance personnel will begin the joint removal on Sunday, April 7 with anticipated completion date of Friday, November 1, 2024.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area. No work will be performed around any scheduled holidays.
