The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a bridge maintenance project will be performed on Interstate 95 northbound in Branford on bridges 00191, 00192, 00193, 00194, and 00198. The project consists of asphaltic joint installations on Interstate 95 northbound in Branford. This project is scheduled to occur Monday, August 5 through Wednesday, August 21, 2024.
The work is included in the CTDOT’s 2024 bridge maintenance program and will be performed by state forces.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Interstate 95 northbound in Branford between Exit 54 (Cedar Street) and Exit 56 (East Industrial Road). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
