In commemoration of National Apprenticeship Day, Governor Ned Lamont and Connecticut Labor Commissioner Danté Bartolomeo participated in the monthly meeting of the Connecticut State Apprenticeship Council, where they announced the upcoming launch of the Connecticut Department of Labor’s new e-Apprenticeship system.

The Connecticut Department of Labor, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Labor, recognizes National Apprenticeship Day April 30, 2025. CTDOL is the state’s only federally authorized entity for Registered Apprenticeship Programs and currently works with more than 1,800 businesses that employ approximately 7,000 Registered Apprentices.

CTDOL is the state’s only federally authorized entity for Registered Apprenticeship Programs and currently works with more than 1,800 businesses that employ more than 7,000 Registered Apprentices.

The Apprenticeship Funding Program was created to provide financial assistance to Connecticut small & medium-sized manufacturers to support registered apprenticeships &/or pre-apprenticeships to fill critical positions required for the stability, continuity, and growth of the company.

CTDOL is the state’s only federally authorized entity for Registered Apprenticeship Programs and currently works with more than 1,700 businesses that employ approximately 6,400 Registered Apprentices.

All newly hired Patient Care Associates and Patient Care Technicians across the health system will be enrolled as apprentices. Apprentice patient care technicians will see patients daily to perform key procedures.
