State Surplus Property Auctions for State Agencies to Sell

Overview

The DAS Surplus Property team provides guidance to state agencies, quasi-public agencies, and higher education institutions on surplus property transfer and disposal. Each agency is responsible for managing its own surplus property.

Surplus items must first be offered to other state agencies. If unclaimed, they are then made available to municipalities. If still unclaimed, the property is listed for public sale.

Agencies handle tasks such as posting items for auction and coordinating pickup with buyers. The DAS Surplus Property team is available to assist with any questions throughout the process.

For any found, seized, and/or unclaimed property, please refer to our Found, Seized, Unclaimed Property Guide.
