Purchase Guidance for Executive Branch Agencies

DAS Procurement, along with partner agencies, has collaborated to provide purchase guidance for executive branch agencies: Purchasing 101 This guidance assists with the purchase and contracting process within Core-CT. It is designed for individuals with financial related responsibilities who utilize Core-CT. This guide will help navigate the process to buy goods and services including technology purchases by providing the general process steps involved.

Under the authority delegated to executive branch state agencies through General Letter 71, certain purchases of goods and services that cost $100,000 or less may be made without prior and specific approval from DAS. This is contingent on no existing DAS contract covering the goods or services being acquired.

Use and Purchase from State Contracts

Statewide Contracts are legal agreements between DAS Procurement and contractors selected through a competitive bidding process. These contracts cover a broad range of goods and services and are available to both State agencies and local entities. A full list, including certified Small/Minority Business Enterprises (SBE/MBE), is accessible through the State Contracting Portal.
