• When is surplus state-owned property offered for sale to the public?+
  Answer: After a surplus property is considered for re-use by other state agencies and offered to the town or city which it is located and has been declined, then the property is advertised for sale to the public. 
• Is State-owned real estate offered through a bid process?+
  Answer: No, DAS asks interested parties to submit a proposal to purchase.  Each proposal is evaluated based on the entirety of the proposed terms not simply price (i.e. whether there are contingencies, time needed to close, etc.)  
• Where can I find State surplus real estate for sale?+
  Answer: Go to DAS surplus real estate for sale for properties offered by the Department of Administrative Services.  For properties offered by the Connecticut Department of Transportation go to DOT surplus real estate for sale.
• Where can I find a list of all State-owned properties (not-for-sale)?+
  Answer: A list of state property, maintained by the Office of Policy and Management, can be found at Reports and Publications.
