Due to the possibility of high storm winds, loss of power, and downed trees on Tuesday, August 4, the Connecticut Department of Transportation is requesting that train travel be restricted to essential travel only. Depending on conditions, rail service may be curtailed or suspended in the afternoon. ATTENTION STATE MARSHALS AND PROCESS SERVERS:  In light of the COVID-19 civil preparedness emergency declared by Governor Lamont, and subsequent executive orders related to the COVID-19 crisis, until further notice staff of the Department’s Legal Services Unit are tele-working and only available to accept service of process or subpoenas for the Department of Transportation and the Commissioner of Transportation during the hours of 9 am – 12 noon each weekday.  If you need to serve any documents for the Commissioner of Transportation or the Department of Transportation, please plan to serve them at 2800 Berlin Turnpike, Newington between the hours of 9 a.m. and noon.  Service of process or subpoenas for other employees of the Department must be served on the employees directly, as always.
