To be granted driving access, there are a few components that you will be responsible for while using the state-owned vehicle.  Please read the information below.

Who is required to complete state vehicle training?

Every driver of a DAS fleet vehicle is required to complete the GL 115 Driver Training v2.0 which includes an overview of GL 115 and the Just Once Choice defensive driving course. The estimated completion time is 1 hour.

Drivers who work for agencies that are within the scope of human resources centralization were required to complete the rollout version of the training by December 2024. They will be required to complete the GL 115 Driver Training v2.0 in 2026. Employees with a CT.gov or cttech.org email address must use LinkedIn Learning to complete the training. Learn more about training for in-scope agencies on In-Scope Fleet Vehicle Training page.

Drivers who work for agencies that are outside the scope of human resources centralization are required to take the Just One Choice training based on a phased rollout schedule developed by DAS Fleet Operations. Check the Out-of-Scope Training page to find out which agencies are required to take the training.
