Eligibility
For Contractor Pre-Selection (CPS) Projects estimated to cost between $500,000 and $1,500,000, contractors must have the following qualifications:
- Three comparable projects completed within a five year period immediately preceding the date of application, having a Cost of Work of $500,000 to $1,500,000.
- DAS Contractor Prequalification for the RFQ “Class of Work”:
- Roofing,
- General Building Construction (Group B),
- HVAC,
- Masonry,
- Sitework,
- Electrical,
- Sewer and Water Lines,
- Fire Protection Sprinkler Systems, or
- Elevators.
- DCP Licensing in the applicable Class of Work:
- General Building Construction (Group B) - Major Contractor Registration from DCP is not required for the CPS Program, but may be required on a particular project;
- HVAC - Heating, Piping & Cooling Contractor License,
- Electrical - Electrical Contractor License,
- Fire Protection Sprinkler Systems - Fire Protection Contractor License,
- Elevators - Elevator Contractor License.
- Sufficient surety bonding (i.e., a performance bond and a labor and materials bond for a construction contract price range up to $1,500,000) and applicable insurance coverage. Details are provided in the CPS application materials.
For Contractor Pre-Selection (CPS) Projects estimated to cost between $100,000 and $500,000, contractors must have the following qualifications:
- Three comparable projects completed within a five year period immediately preceding the date of application, having a Cost of Work of $100,000 to $500,000.
- Certification as a Small Business Enterprise (SBE) and/or Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) firm under the DAS Supplier Diversity (Set-Aside) Program.
- DCP Licensing in the applicable Class of Work:
- General Building Construction (Group A) - Major Contractor Registration from DCP is not required for the CPS Program, but may be required on a particular project;
- HVAC - Heating, Piping & Cooling Contractor License,
- Electrical - Electrical Contractor License,
- Fire Protection Sprinkler Systems - Fire Protection Contractor License,
- Elevators - Elevator Contractor License.
- Sufficient surety bonding and insurance coverage. Please note that while sufficient bonding (i.e., a performance bond and a labor and materials bond for a construction contract price range up to $500,000) and applicable insurance coverage are not required for selection, they are required for your firm to be awarded a contract.
